Milk & Vodka playlist, November 9th 2009 - Ladies of Folk edition
Today's show is inspired by a book written by Shiela Weller entitled Girls Like Us. It's a triple biography that follows the fascinating lives and careers of Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon, and Carole King whose music defined an entire generation, and still influences artists today.
Although Weller focuses on these three women specifically, there are many mentions of other female folk musicians from this period as well, which I've done my best to include for this week's program. Happy listening!
